MK-Studios Shows Dublin Airport Update

A new version of MK-Studios Dublin is going to see the light of life soon. It is going to include the recently opened runway 10L/28R.

With the recent opening of the 10L/28R parallel runway at Dublin Airport (EIDW), the development team of MK-Studios shared some information about the future of their Dublin Airport scenery. The team spoke about this via Facebook yesterday.

MK-Studios stated that instead of updating the current scenery, they are working on a new, revamped version with the codename Dublin V2. As the team said, the Dublin V2 scenery will feature many enhancements in texturing, modelling, marking, and performance.

This is because the MK-Studios team feels like the scenery is outdated and doesn’t meet the modern scenery standards. Thus, it is easier for them to create a new, revamped scenery from scratch. Obviously, this version is going to include all the new buildings and mainly the new runway that is now at Dublin Airport.

The team aims to bring this updated scenery to the simulator before VATSIM Cross The Pond occurs. MK Studios though didn’t share information about the Prepar3D version of this scenery. The only previews shared are from Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Lastly, in this post, they also showed an upcoming project of MK-Studios, which is going to bring another Irish airport to life in the simulator. It’s located in west Ireland, County Clare, in the town of Shannon.
