The developer MM Simulations has announced that they are working on a new scenery of Frankfurt Hahn Airport (EDFH) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The team has announced this information through their Discord server.
So far, MM Simulations has only shown two screenshots of the scenery, showing the control tower from the outside and the inside, within the simulator engine. Currently, we can only assume the features of the scenery from these two screenshots, and from what we have seen, we could expect the scenery to have modelled interiors and detailed, hand-made 3D models of terminals and other buildings surrounding Frankfurt Hahn.

MM Simulations has mentioned that the scenery should be released soon. However, we haven’t received any detailed information on the possible release date, nor whether the scenery is being developed for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Frankfurt Hahn is a smaller airport located near Frankfurt, and serves mostly as a low-cost gateway to the German business centre. However, it is quite far from the city, approximately 120 kilometres. Back in 2001, when Ryanair started operations from this airport, it has been renamed from Hahn Airport to Frankfurt Hahn, which has sparked controversy among many, especially due to its distance, it was considered false advertising. Currently, the airport is mostly operated by Ryanair and Wizzair, offering flights across the whole Europe, including destinations like Sofia, Bucharest, Dublin and more.
