MSFS2020 April 16th Development Update

 

One day after releasing an update for the Alpha Builds, Microsoft Flight Simulator Team has posted a new development update regarding future updates, Alpha invitations and status on currently postponed deliverables.

Partnership Series update should still release MID APRIL as it war originally planned, while EPISODE 8 (IFR) is still postponed to EARLY MAY.

The team has also shared some information about the upcoming Alpha releases. Next update, build 1.2.12.0 should feature ATC bug fixes, SDK bug fixes and experimental tech for community feedback. This update should get released within 7 days.

Another update, build. 1.3.0.0, is a bigger one for sure. Developers are targeting to release this update in May, and it should feature Boeing 747 available for the Alpha testers and bug fixes, for example.

Alpha Update – Build 1.2.12.0

  • In final testing. Prepping for release. Target release date within 7 days.
  • SDK bug fixes
  • ATC bug fixes
  • Experimental tech for community feedback – Neural TTS solution
  • Full build notes to be posted upon release.

Alpha Update – Build 1.3.0.0

  • In testing.
  • Target release date – May.
  • Boeing 747 ready for first round of community testing/feedback.
  • Bug fixes
  • Full build notes to be posted upon release.

alpha invitations

  1. Ensure that everyone that received an acceptance email has access to the Alpha.
    • Status – Nearing completion.
  2. Assess Alpha participation options for adding more people as quickly as possible.
    • Prioritize access for those that registered early for pre-release build testing.
    • Status – Ongoing.
