Navigraph has just released a highly-anticipated update to their popular Charts software. First showcased at this year’s FSExpo in Las Vegas, this major new feature will enhance the experience of those virtual pilots who fly on IVAO or VATSIM networks.
What is Navigraph?
Navigraph is a flight-planning tool exclusively for flight simulation that is available by paying a subscription. It includes charts, flight-dispatching tools, and an uncountable number of other functionalities that make Navigraph a recognized tool within the flight simulation community. After a long wait, one of the most requested features by the community is finally here.

Real-Time Traffic Visualization
Navigraph starts off by showing its new real-time traffic visualization feature. Just by clicking one icon on the map toolbar, users will now be able to see all virtual traffic on IVAO or VATSIM networks. By clicking one aircraft, more information will become visible. This includes the pilot’s name, departure and destination airport, expected arrival time (ETA), type of aircraft, callsign, current airspeed, altitude—and much more.

ATC Sector Information
In addition, Navigraph included a new ATC sector information feature. By activating the ATC option on the map toolbar, the world map will highlight all active ATC sectors on one of the two networks. Frequencies, ATIS, and controllers’ names will also be displayed. This is especially useful for pilots who want to fly in controlled airspace, who can now decide where to fly depending on the ATC availability from the application itself.

Expanded Airport Data
Furthermore, Navigraph also added an extremely useful feature, especially for pilots who fly in busy airports. When selecting an airport, the user will now be able to see the availability of all of the gates. Additionally, there is a new status message that will indicate the aircraft’s estimated departure time (when occupying a gate) and whether it is delayed or not, helping the users to know when the gate will be free. This new feature will save the users a lot of headaches since one of the usual issues when flying is spawning in a gate that was already occupied by another aircraft.

Closing Notes
In conclusion, this new update, already available in an open beta state, will help to connect the users with both networks, allowing them to enjoy a smooth and interactive experience when flying. Navigraph subscription pricing is available here. They also advise their users that external traffic will not be available on the MSFS in-game panel, as it is still under development. In addition, Navigraph encourages users to report any findings or issues in their dedicated forum section, as well as ensuring that they are running the latest version of their application.
