Navigraph Teases Future Academy Courses at FSExpo 2026

Navigraph showcased the future of Academy at FSExpo 2026, teasing its upcoming IFR Approaches course while revealing impressive platform growth statistics.

Navigraph took to the FSExpo 2026 stage to provide an update on Navigraph Academy, its free virtual flight training platform designed to help flight simulation enthusiasts develop real-world aviation knowledge through structured lessons and in-simulator exercises.

During the presentation, Lead Producer Martin Trankel explained how Navigraph Academy combines online learning materials, video-based instruction, practical simulator lessons, and detailed post-flight analysis to create a training experience inspired by real-world flight schools. The platform currently supports Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and X-Plane through a combination of web-based resources and simulator integrations.

One of the main topics of the presentation was the upcoming IFR Approaches course. Following the release of the Virtual Private Pilot Licence and Instrument Flying courses, the next Academy module will focus on advanced instrument approach procedures. According to Trankel, the course will cover VOR approaches, RNAV procedures, LNAV operations, LPV approaches, holding entries, procedure turns, and other advanced IFR concepts.

Although no release date was announced, Navigraph stated that development is progressing well and that the underlying systems powering the Academy are now allowing new courses to be produced at a faster pace.

The team also shared several milestones achieved since the platform launched. Navigraph Academy has recorded more than 30,000 course enrollments and over 65,000 completed training flights. Hundreds of virtual licences have also been awarded to users who successfully completed the available training programs.

Navigraph emphasized that Academy remains completely free to access and continues to serve both newcomers entering flight simulation and experienced virtual pilots looking to expand their aviation knowledge.
