Following the announcement of the Boeing 707 made at FSExpo a few months ago, Nimbus Simulations Studios has now shared new images of the progress being made on its new 707. The developer has taken to its Facebook page to share the news, and it has been very well received by the community.
New Instruments, Lights, and Textures
“Still a long way to go, but we are getting closer,” the developer stated, along with the following screenshots showing different features such as the cockpit and the engineer’s instrument panel.

But that was not all, because Nimbus also shared nighttime screenshots, highlighting the effort that has been put into the lighting and the detail of the instruments’ textures.

Community’s Reaction and Closing Notes
Most of the feedback was positive, highlighting the quality of the textures and the potential of this aircraft. The developer, in one of the comments, also stated that the sound will be completely custom. Additionally, Nimbus shared more information regarding the depth of the systems, stating, “INS and FMS will be available, [but] doppler won’t. We are thinking about using the stock 737 FMS with a custom 3D model.” If you would like to read more flight simulation news, do not hesitate to check out our main page!
