Orbx has today taken to their social networks to oficially announce the development of Niš Constantine the Great Airport (LYNI) for the recently released Microsoft Flight Simulator. Developed by Rasha Tucakov, it is going to be his first project for the new simulator.
As Serbia’s second-busiest airport, Niš is a mixed-use airfield, home to both airline and military traffic. Known for his attention to unusual details of all sizes, Rasha has recreated a stunning array of unique content both within and outside the airfield perimeter.

We can not only expect the scenery to cover the airport itself but the cityscape as well. Although the complete feature list has not been made public yet, we got a few features teased in the post at the Orbx Forums.
Based on that, the scenery is going to feature numerous POIs throughout the city, full PBR materials, LOD optimization, sloped runways, dynamic lighting, or custom terrain edits, for example.
Beyond the airport, an entire city has been recreated. Famous as the birthplace of three Roman emperors (including the airport’s namesake), and later as a pivotal city of the Byzantine Empire (..)

Niš Constantine the Great Airport (LYNI) is an international airport serving the city of Niš in Serbia. The airport is used by both commercial and military traffic and is the second-largest and second-busiest airport in Serbia. It serves as a hub for Air Serbia, but it also operated by airlines such as Wizz Air, Ryanair, or Swiss with routes to Basel, Vienna, Bologna, Rome, or Tivat, for example. Annually, almost 500 thousand people visit the airport.
