Orbx Announces Notodden Airport for MSFS

Orbx have taken to their forums to announce the impending release of Notodden Airport (ENNO) for MSFS. This is part of the developers ongoing work to port over many of the sceneries currently available for P3D and FSX over to the new sim.

However, Notodden Airport for MSFS is a significant improvement on previous releases as it makes use of the new sim’s PBR texturing allowing for much greater detail. Orbx mention many other improvements but have not, as yet, given any detailed information. As with other sceneries for MSFS, Orbx have blended the airport perfectly into Asobo’s photogrammetry data. Despite the lack of information, the screenshots look amazing.

Notodden Airport is located in a valley near the edge of Heddalsvannet and only a short flight from Oslo. This area is perfect for VRF flights allowing sim pilots to take in the breath-taking beauty of the Norwegian landscape. The airport is modelled with great detail which includes a nearby hamburger restaurant. Water landings can be made on the adjoining lake.
