Through their forums, Orbx has today announced a new TrueEarth product for X-Plane 11 – Balearic Islands. As current travel restrictions do not allow Orbx to work on the TrueEarth US series, they have decided to experience summer on the Balearic Islands.
As you might guess from the product name, the scenery will cover all four major islands in the archipelago including smaller islands nearby. Over 150 points of interest will be included throughout the scenery.
Over 150 attractions, major hotels and historical buildings have been faithfully recreated giving you the chance to see these resorts from a truly unique perspective.
The resolution of the aerial imagery will be 60cm/px. The screenshots included are showcasing early stages of the development. The release date and pricing details are unknown as of today.
This is a visually stunning part of the world, and is excellent for all types of virtual pilots with detail for VFR pilots and great destinations for those in the jets.
