Orbx announces TrueEarth US Florida for XP11

Orbx, a developer of high-quality sceneries for both Prepar3D and X-Plane 11, today announced a new product coming to their TrueEarth US package. This announcement was quite unexpected since until now Orbx’s main focus was on the west coast of the US, and Florida is the first state are know about on the east coast. This announcement was made today on the Orbx forums.

The scenery will feature over 8,3 million accurately placed buildings, over 400 million trees and nearly 1,000 custom-modelled POIs (points of interest). As usual, the scenery will come in both SD and HD version.

John Venema, Orbx Founder, also mentioned the new TrueColour technology in the forum announcement.

TrueEarth Florida is our most advanced TE region yet, and we are introducing new TrueColour technology to perfectly match the colours of every house roof in the entire state, and all vegetation. This provides for a much more realistic and cohesive experience like never before with everything having a much more “bedded in” look and the vegetation blending in far more naturally.

The scenery is currently in beta testing and the release is expected to happen in January 2020.
