Orbx Cityscape Sydney Released (MSFS)

Orbx has released another new addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, Cityscape Sydney was released, a product nine months in the making. The renowned developer Frank Schnibben, with the assistance of the Orbx team, has incorporated over 100 points of interest to bring this major Australian city to life. Frank has also replaced over 28000 primary buildings with his own custom made designs.

Examples are the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, which show off just how much PBR texture work has gone into this release. These and other buildings have been produced to a high level of detail while maintaining high optimisation. Orbx has coined the phrase “Hero Assets” to describe those buildings, within the city, that are equal in detail to those often found in modelled airport terminals.

The developers have also replaced the default Bing scenery with custom aerial imagery for the airport and the city, including the suburbs. Not only that but water textures and colour have been vastly improved.
