The developer Orbx has released a new version of their Brisbane International Airport scenery (YBBN) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, 2024 and X-Plane 12, bringing significant changes compared to the previous version, making flying to this airport even more immersive.

As described by Orbx, this scenery includes major functional and visual enhancements, including an updated layout, which reflects the airport’s state from June 2024, including the new terminal buildings and control tower, with detailed models and 3D interior. The features in this scenery are the same for both the Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane 12 versions of the scenery.
The ground polygons and textures were also upgraded and should now be crisper with additional visual detail. The whole airport is surrounded by high-resolution ortho imagery from last year, and the airside includes clutter to make the scenery appear more lifelike. Lastly, a custom GSX Profile is available with this scenery and requires an up-to-date GSX Pro version to function properly.

Those who have previously owned the Orbx Brisbane Airport are eligible for an upgrade to this version for a small fee, which wasn’t, unfortunately, disclosed publicly. If you don’t own the Orbx Brisbane scenery, you can purchase it now through the Orbx website for approximately €14.77. If you are looking for the X-Plane 12 version, you can find it on the Orbx website as well, here for €17.04.
