Orbx Releases Freeware Fishburn Airfield for X-Plane 11

Orbx have taken to their own forums to announce the release of Fishburn Airfield (EG41), based in the North East of England, for X-Plane 11. What is notable about this release is that it is free to all X-Plane 11 users. This release is fully compatible with Orbx’s TrueEarth Great Britain Central package.

The developers, Stefan Schroen and Sandro De Sarro, have created this small airfield with a slight lean to their own whimsical storytelling, as the screenshots show, especially with the image of Durham Constabulary dealing with a member of the public. Most of the screenshots show vehicles, and buildings in and around the airfield, rather than the airfield itself.

As this is free, it costs nothing to install and to check out this charming airfield. It is available from Orbx Central or the Orbx website.

Fishburn Airfield (EG41), a grass airstrip, was opened in 1995 by Tony Blair, the local MP and leader of the Labour Party. It has since been voted airfield of the year, in 2004.
