Orbx released West Virginia International Yeager Airport (KCRW) this week for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Yeager Airport follows a long line of scenery and land-class downloads for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Lockheed Martin’s P3D and X-Plane. Per Orbx main page, West Virginia International Yeager Airport (KCRW) features the following.

  • High-quality PBR textures
  • Landside area recreated in high detail
  • Dynamic night lighting
  • Custom jetways
  • Custom groundpoly
  • Custom POIs for the surrounding area and Charleston downtown
  • Detailed terminal interior

Among the key points of interest in the scenery are the rolling hills that surround the City of Charleston and the sharp drop offs at all four corners of the airport, sloped runway and taxiways, detailed National Guard base and various static ground service equipment.

Yeager Airport is located in Central West Virginia along the Western Allegheny Plateau. The airport sits at 947ft AMSL and is a single-use runway airport (6715ft). It services United Express, Delta, American and Spirit Airlines. In 2021 it ranked 62nd busiest airport in the U.S.A in 2021 hosting 2.3 million passengers.
