Orbx Volanta 1.4 Released

Orbx has released their Volanta 1.4 update, together with a mobile app for premium users to enjoy. Read more about it here!

As per the recent announcement of Volanta 1.4 through Orbx Forums, the developer has finally released this version of their popular flight tracker. Volanta 1.4 brings users a plethora of new, interesting features, especially for Volanta Premium users.

Volanta Mobile App

Essentially, the most important thing in this update is definitely the Volanta App that is now available for Android and IOS systems. According to Orbx, this was the most requested feature to date. You can do stuff that you basically can do in the PC app, plan your flight, check your progress, schedules, profile, statistics and much more. Basically, anything you can think of doing in the PC app, you can do here as well.

In addition to that, if anything goes wrong with your flight, you can remotely pause the simulator through the Volanta Mobile App. Unfortunately, the app is only available for Volanta Premium users. For that reason, you cannot log in to the app with a non-premium account, resulting in an error after trying so.

Schedules update

With the update 1.4 for Volanta, Orbx has updated FlightAware data included in the app. This results in much more up-to-date schedules to use for your flight planning. This update also brings higher-quality data and more airports are now covered with this feature.

Stream Overlay

There is also a new feature called Stream Overlay. You can know this from ProjectFly, for example. If you are an experienced streamer, this is basically equivalent to the FlyCentral app FlyLive. However, Volanta is going to make this part of streaming much easier.

This feature is limitedly available for non-premium users as well. Non-premium users can enjoy a few freely available overlay templates, whilst premium users can customize them themselves if they wish.

This will provide your Twitch or YouTube viewers with accurate information about your flight. Some of this information is your speed, altitude, origin and destination, network or estimated time of arrival.

Discord Integration

Lastly, the Discord Integration has got a revamp as well. As of Volanta 1.4, your friends can in-detail see what you are flying. It will show your exact simulator, location, elapsed time, callsign and origin and destination and your aircraft.
