Origami Studios Announces Gatwick Airport for X-Plane 11

 

Origami Studios, a rather new developer in the flight simulation community, has today taken to their Discord server to officially announce the development of Gatwick Airport (EGKK) scenery for X-Plane 11.

Welcome to Gatwick Airport, one of the beating hearts of London aviation. A vital link in the UK short-haul network, with an interesting array of long-haul operations.

It was first mentioned on January 11th, that a new product will be announced today, on January 16th. As promised, the announcement did happen. It was said in the post over at the developer’s Discord server, that we will be able to experience a high-quality rendition of the airport in X-Plane 11.

They promised to feature, for example, accurate airport layout from 2019-2020, 4K PBR ground textures, moving ground-traffic, SAM compatibility, or realistic lighting.

A set of previews that was attached to the post can be seen below and enlarged by clicking on them.

It is yet unknown when the scenery is going to be released or what the price is going to be like.
