Papa Hotel Releases Lelystad Airport for MSFS

The developers of Papa Hotel have released Lelystad Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This add-on is the first release by these developers but includes several features. Papa Hotel has a deep-rooted passion for flight simulation. They are dedicated to bringing true authenticity to their sceneries.

About Lelystad Airport

It is Located 4 miles south of Lelystad city, right in the heart of the Netherlands. It is a perfect place for a scenic flight. Lelystad Airport is the biggest general aviation airport in the Netherlands, with its first flights in 1971. The Schiphol Group then took over the airport in 1993.

Lelystad is also home to the aviation museum Aviodrome, displaying a former KLM 747. The airport serves Amsterdam and Flevoland and has an 8,858ft asphalt runway. The runway can facilitate aircraft like the B737 or the A320 family. It is also suitable for wide bodies like the A350.

It has one terminal building, that can handle roughly 25,000 flights a year. However, this can be doubled if the building is expanded, handling 7-8 million passengers annually. The expansion, driven by Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, allowed it to reach its max of 500,000 aircraft movements.

Papa Hotel’s Lelystad Airport Add-on

This add-on recreates the new terminal building to its current state with modelled interiors. They have also recreated the Aviodrome in detail. The apron is filled with numerous high-quality static aircraft, all with real-world registrations. The add-on also includes several other features in and around the airport.

The aprons and ground markings have been recreated to go with high-resolution PBR textures. The taxiways, runway and approach all have a custom lighting system. Also added, are some custom 3D animated objects like windsocks, gates, and flags.
