Parallel 42’s Public Release of Refreshed Circle B Ranch

Parallel 42 Releases Circle B Ranch now publicly available on MSFS 2024 on PC and Xbox. The team also welcomes Nick Hessler as their Community Engagement Coordinator.

Parallel 42 (also known as //42)  has launched a refreshed scenery with //42 Circle B Ranch for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, delivering a fully native experience for virtual pilots. Announced on their official blog, this update is for both PC and Xbox users, priced at €13.95 EUR and will be on the MSFS marketplace shortly, but is currently available via the Parallel 42 website.
It had previously been available via the Club 42 scheme, this enhanced scenery is now available for all to purchase directly.

As a native release for MSFS 2024, Circle B Ranch leverages the simulator’s advanced features, offering an immersive Wyoming backcountry setting that builds on the developer’s commitment to detailed, adventure-focused environments.

Set in the rugged landscapes of Wyoming, Circle B Ranch features a 3,000 ft dirt runway, a helipad, and a surrounding area spanning hills, rivers, sandbars, mountains, and a nearby ski resort. Every inch designed as a stunning backdrop for the adventure-seeking virtual pilot.

The scenery includes custom 3D objects by the //42 team, such as ranch buildings and vehicles, alongside updated vegetation and terrain textures optimised for MSFS 2024’s rendering engine. Dynamic fauna, like roaming wildlife, and custom sounds enhance the atmosphere, reflecting the simulator’s new capabilities for environmental immersion. Club 42 members who own the MSFS 2020 version can upgrade for free using the code “CIRCLEB24,” with Parallel 42 indicating a general public release will follow within days, based on their typical rollout schedule for Club 42 exclusives.

The original Circle B Ranch was released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, providing pilots with a challenging backcountry strip and scenic surroundings. It featured a detailed layout with custom assets, earning praise from many bush-flying enthusiasts. However, with the advent of the new platform, Parallel 42 has been able to add the dynamic fauna and enhanced textures of MSFS 2024. This native update refines the visuals with sharper details, leverages the new sim’s topography for more accurate terrain, and integrates features like wildlife interactions, making the ranch a more vibrant destination for bush pilots and explorers.

//42 Welcomes a Community Engagement Coordinator

The expansion at Parallel 42 continues with them also announcing that they are bringing a Community Engagement Coordinator on board. Nick Hesler is a name that many in the Flight Simulation community will be familiar with and joins the //42 team this month.

The team is aware that a growing following and the active community around it mean that they need someone to help ensure fans are kept up to date and liaise between them and the developers. He’ll also be attending FSExpo as part of the //42 team, so people will have the chance to speak in person there.
