Parallel 42 has released their rendition of Hogsback Ranch for MSFS 2024. With this release, Parallel 42 continues bringing their Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) products and sceneries to 2024, following the recent release of the Campout Utility for MSFS 2024.

About Hogsback Ranch

Hogsback Ranch, located northeast of San Francisco, California, is a private property atop a plateau in Tehama County. The location, with cliffs on both ends of the runway, a low gate on the north end of the runway, and powerlines nearby, requires pinpoint precision and concentration from the pilots flying their small GA aircraft in and out of the field.

This makes it a challenge for pilots who wish to keep their flying skills sharp. The Northern Californian location of the strip makes it ideal for pilots who are looking for where to fly for their next bush trip.

Key Features

Hogsback Ranch features one helipad and two runways in two different conditions. The first, a 984-foot gravel strip, is well maintained. On the other hand, the second runway, a 1,043-foot dirt runway, is not maintained, just like the helipad found in the area.

The scenery, developed with custom terraforming, features support for the dynamic fauna of MSFS 2024. Included on-ground 3D models are enhanced for MSFS2024, featuring a plethora of detail for virtual pilots to enjoy. The structures found in the package are hangars, staples, a pool, and more. The scenery includes other details such as micro-scenes, the interior of the main house and the poolside, as well as an inop sculpture.

Parallel 42’s Hogsback Ranch is now available to purchase from their website for $14. However, owners of the MSFS 2020 version of Hogsback Ranch will be able to grab this scenery for $2 until the 5th of February next year.
