Paulo Ricardo has released the Rio de Janeiro World Update and upgraded all airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The developer is known for developing numerous airports around Brazil and has now updated the popular carnival city.
About Rio de Janeiro
Rio de Janeiro, the second-most populated city after São Paulo, is in the southeast of the country and neighbours the South Atlantic Ocean. It is the host of large slums and carnivals that break records every year. Millions of people also gather at Copacabana Beach to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The city is mostly known for the statue of Christ the Redeemer, situated on top of Mt. Corcovado. There are two airports in Rio de Janeiro, Galeão Intl. Airport and Santos Dumont Airport. While Galeão Airport handles international flights, Santos Dumont Airport operates domestic flights.

Paulo Ricardo’s World Update and Santos Dumont Airport
World Update XIX was released three weeks ago, which covered Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana. It also came with many landmarks, such as Mount Roraima and Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer). Paulo Ricardo’s Rio de Janeiro World Update is focused on the city and Santos Dumont Airport. It includes features like animated cable cars, static aircraft and vehicles, HD PBR textures, a 3D terminal interior, and much more.

You can now use Santos Dumont Airport for MSFS 2024 and install the update with no additional cost if you previously owned the add-on. Paulo Ricardo’s Rio de Janeiro World Update is available on simMarket for €12.99. If you are looking for an aircraft to fly with this update, you can check our Aerosoft CRJ v2 news article here.
