iniBuilds took to their Discord server to announce the release of a major update of Pilot Experience Sim’s rendition of Biarritz Pays Basque Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The new V2 update includes performance optimizations, custom sounds, and an updated airport layout.

About Pays Basque Airport

Biarritz Pays Basque Airport or Biarritz Airport is an airport serving the city of Biarritz in the French Basque Country. It is located three miles southeast of Biarritz and is 245 feet above mean sea level. The airport features one paved runway with the designation 09/27 measuring 7,800 feet by 148 feet. The facility is served by a multitude of airlines including Air France, easyJet, Lufthansa, Ryanair, Swiss, and Volotea. Most destinations from Biarritz are seasonal with very few that persist all year round. All destinations are in Europe.

The Pilot Experience Sim team has made numerous changes in their latest update for Pays Basque Airport for MSFS. The LODs and FPS have been greatly optimized, the terminal and ATC tower have been redesigned and now include interiors, the approach lights now include custom HIALS for runway 09 and the PAPIs have also been overhauled. Further changes include custom jetways with custom sounds, updated terraforming, realistic HD design of all airport buildings, and the ground poly now using MSFS2020 tools and custom textures.
