PILOT’S Releases Mountain Air Airport for MSFS

Mountain Air Airport (2NC0) is a small general aviation airport serving a gated community in a very scenic mountainous region near Mount Mitchell in the western part of North Carolina in the United States. Traffic into the airport can arrive only during the day and when the visibility is more than one mile. As the airport operators state: “Landing at Mountain Air is not recommended for new or rusty pilots.“.

PILOT’S have just a few moments ago taken to their social networks to announce the release of their rendition of the airport. The release announcement was an unexpected surprise. The last time the scenery was mentioned was in August 2021 when the scenery was “almost complete.

The scenery offers a myriad of features. Users can enjoy, for example, hand-crafted mesh to accurately represent the mountainous region, or over 18-square kilometre orthoimagery coverage. Further, the runway in the scenery is accurately sloped to bring the challenges pilots are having to deal with at the real counterpart.

It is also important to mention, that the scenery has been developed from scratch for the new platform to make full potential of what is brought to the community back in 2020 when it released.

The scenery can be purchased through the in-game Marketplace for a very nice price of $12.49, which is equal to about €11. It has not been stated whether will the scenery be available through the PILOT’S website shop anytime soon.
