PMDG 737 for MSFS Progressing at a Good Pace

PMDG has further shared some more information about the upcoming 737 for MSFS. At this stage, the aircraft is progressing nicely.

PMDG’s CEO Robert Randazzo has stated some more information about their upcoming 737 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. As usual, this developer update is live on the PMDG forums.

Currently, the development team has already fixed more than 121 issues and revealed 71 new ones. These issues will be fixed in the upcoming weeks of beta. Moreover, Randazzo stated that the team is looking forward to improving the overall stability and performance of the aircraft. Their goal is to gain like-real quality of the image, as well as a performance at around 100 stable frames per second.

The performance of the aircraft is also accompanied by dialling detail levels in certain areas, which would impact the performance a lot.

Furthermore, Randazzo mentioned that the team is feeling confident with the Asobos rendering engine. Therefore, they can now work differently, and more effectively with the graphics, thus creating nicer details and PBR materials. For example, the developer created completely new fire handles, which were shown in one of the preview screenshots.

And last but not least, Randazzo mentioned that the PMDG team is still unaware of the stable release date of this model. However, the team progresses nicely with further improvements to the aircraft. Despite that, Randazzo stated his positive feeling towards the development, as we might be closer to the release date than we think. The embargo for the current beta testers might be lifted very soon, and we will be able to see some more previews, not only from the development team.
