PMDG and Prepar3D v5 Information

rsrandazzo, PMGD forum administrator, has today posted via the PMDG forums a post that should explain everything about the migration of PMDG products from Prepar3D v4 to v5.

The post has started with a compatibility issue that PMGD is currently working on. The first product that will receive an update will be 747 which will be updated within days. 737 NGXu, 777 and DC-6 will follow. All updates will be free of charge for current owners.

You may be wondering what order in which to expect things, such as our already discussed product updates that are rolling out, etc. We don’t know at this juncture.

The post continues. If you really want to use your PMDG product in the new sim straight away, you can easily drag-and-drop the files to new location. The Prepar3D v4 version will work fine in the Prepar3D v5, but there are still many things that need to be adjusted in order for the product to run well. PMDG has warned, that you do this at your own risk, and there will be no support provided or reset of the license keys.

Thank you for your patience during this transition period- we are a small team and w are working through the tasks just as quickly as we can.

Thanks Dag for the reminder at our Discord server.
