PMDG Delays Boeing 777-300ER for MSFS 2024

PMDG’s Robert Randazzo has taken to the PMDG forums to announce not really positive news for the flight simulator community. Regarding the update for their Boeing 777-300ER in both iterations of Microsoft Flight Simulator, it is going to be delayed.

This delay will also apply to the release of Boeing 777F. Last week, the team began the process of pushing the 777 Series to Marketplace in both simulators, however, they have found an error during the acceptance audit regarding the naming convention for the product line. This error is present in all PMDG 777 series products. This means that all 777 aircraft need to be updated before being pushed to the Marketplace.

The 777-300ER for MSFS 2024 and an updated version for MSFS 2020 was supposed to be released this Tuesday (27/5/2025), and with the naming convention error, the release had to be pushed back. Thus, the release is going to be pushed until the PMDG team has a “firm fix” for the aircraft series.

Robert expects that the 777-300ER will be released immediately after the team confirms the fix works on the current versions of the aircraft. This also influences the beta testing of PMDG 777-200LR, as fix-testing will be required for existing products.

Lastly, Robert Randazzo also mentioned some stuff about the DC-6 and the 737 series. The DC-6 will begin its testing phase within days. The 737 development will be held for a moment, as most development resources will now be given to the 777 series. Once the 777 issues are resolved, the 737 development will continue.
