PMDG Previews 737 BBJ Expansion for P3D

Aircraft developer PMDG has recently published a number of previews on their up and coming 737 BBJ for Prepar3D.

The 737 BBJ (Boeing Business Jet) is an expansion off of the original 737NGXu base package for Prepar3D. The 737 BBJ is primarily used for private operations. The aircraft will feature a fully customized interior with a VIP lounge, galley, crew rest area, working spaces, and even a shower.

The expansion also features custom capabilities of the 737 BBJ, such as longer range, faster and higher climbing, less fuel consumption, modified cockpit layout, VIP ground operations, new standby indications, full PBR, configurable auxiliary fuel system, auxiliary fuel indication, and an electronic flight bag. PMDG also anticipates a new update from Lockheed Martin (creator of P3D) to update engines capabilities, that will improve handling of polished aluminium surfaces which are very much present in the 737 BBJ.

737 BBJ’s are seen operating for mainly governments, and armed forces but also see use from private owners, and are popular due to their increased range and versatility, capable of landing on short runways.

This will be PMDG’s first “bizjet” and may not be their last. PMDG estimates release for this week but an exact date, or price, has not been shared.

The original 737NGXu base package, which is required for the new 737 BBJ expansion, can be bought for 75£ here.
