The PMDG team has shared a new video showcasing the upcoming Boeing 737-700 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 that is going to include a completely overhauled 3D model of this popular narrow-body aircraft.

There were many changes made in the 3D model, in both the exterior and the interior of the aircraft. PMDG directly compares the changes to the previous 737-700 model, found in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. This model has been known in the community for lacking many details that a number of virtual pilots appreciate. And, with the walk-around mode of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, these details became even more important in the world of flight simulation.

The changes are immediately noticeable in the cockpit, with the colours being more balanced and the models seem to be sharper, as shown in the video. The same applies to the engines, wings, as well as landing gear bays, where we may find more devices, and it is not just an empty space in the aircraft. The Cabin has received a major overhaul as well, with the lights being more true-to-life and can be changed in a menu. There are various animations, such as opening window shades or overhead bins, and the forward and aft galleys are much more detailed.

It is worth mentioning that such changes were also brought to the cargo version of the aircraft. PMDG aims to release this overhauled 737-700 to the world during the next week. The 737-700 is the first aircraft to possess this new 3D model. However, the other variants of the 737 are going to have their models updated in the coming days. This will be delivered as a regular update for the aircraft.
