PMDG’s Robert Randazzo has taken to the PMDG Forums to announce the official release of the 777-300ER for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This release follows a number of troubles and a slight delay, as this aircraft was supposed to be out more than a week ago already.
The issues started with the naming convention error, which prevented PMDG from pushing the aircraft series to the Marketplace in both simulators. This error thus created a minor setback, and not only has it delayed the 777 development cycle and the release, but has also influenced the upcoming planes, including the 747 and the major 737 update as well.
The update to this aircraft is now available through the new PMDG Operations Center v3, and the 2024 version is completely free of charge for all those who already own the 2020 version of this wide-body plane.

The Marketplace Issues Are Not Ending
At the moment, the 777 aircraft series is still available only through the PMDG.com domain, and no ETA has been given for when this aircraft series will be available in-game to be purchased. There are still issues to be resolved regarding the Marketplace’s intake process. Robert mentions that the PMDG team needs to take cautious steps to do everything correctly.
On the better note, though, the 777-200LR is supposed to enter beta testing during this weekend, meaning that we should be flying a new 777 variant in the virtual skies soon. No new information has been shared on the topic of the 737 and the 747.
