PMDG 777 WASM Crashes

The team has been investigating WASM crashes that have been reported throughout this week. While PMDG clarifies that the 777-200ER is significantly more stable compared to other releases, the team recognizes there are some issues that still have to be addressed. Although WASM crashes are very rare, according to the developer, there is still work to be done in order to find what is causing them.

Testing Status of Other 777 Variants

As the 777-200ER is receiving its first update, other variants are still in the testing phase before being released, such as the 777F. Another variant, the 777-300ER, is anticipated to go to the beta team for testing this weekend. The developer estimates “to have the 777F in [the customers’] hands” next week, and the 777-300ER a week following. Lastly, the 777-200LR is expected to enter testing about the time the 777-300ER is getting released.

PMDG DC-6 Status & Closing Notes

Finally, the developer also updated on the status of its DC-6. PMDG stated that the aircraft is “not quite ready for beta,” as the team is waiting on a few fixes that are in the SU2 beta build. PMDG thanks its customers for the “absolutely wonderful reception” of its latest release, and is continuing to work to improve its products.
