PMDG Simulations took to their Facebook page earlier today to announce the release of their native version of the Boeing 737-900 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The product is their second release for the MSFS2024 platform in the 737 series lineup after the B738 release last year. The MSFS2024-native version brings new improvements over the previous MSFS2020 version.
What’s New?
According to PMDG’s product description, the new 737-900 for MSFS2024 sees significant upgrades over the previous sim’s version, with new, LIDAR-scanned models, improved textures and lighting, greater functionality, and “even more simulation value”. The aircraft also now features MSFS2024’s immersive walkaround mode with many chocks, door animations, pitot tube/angle of attack sensor covers, and more.

Key Features
PMDG’s Boeing 737-900 package includes both the base variant 737-900 and the longer range 737-900ER aircraft. The aircraft also features interchangeable equipment options in the flight deck, a fully featured failure simulation suite, data uplink with SimBrief and SayIntentions AI, and a heads-up display with configurable modes.
The 737-900 and -900ER also get an entirely new 3D sound environment built specifically for the variants, complete with highly integrated exterior, interior cabin, and flight deck sound environments affected by proximity and direction. The aircraft model also features a fully integrated cabin interior for the passenger variant. The whole feature list for the 737-900 can be found on the PMDG Store.
