PMDG’s Robert Randazzo has recently again taken to their forums to speak about the latest update for their Boeing 737 line-up for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This series of updates throughout the whole 737 series changes numerous things in the aeroplane.
Update 3.00.0063
The update named 3.00.0063 polishes the aircraft series and adds numerous improvements across the whole product line.
Firstly, PMDG focused on the magenta line drawing algorithm, which should now draw the magenta line to the first waypoint much better as opposed to the previous versions. There are also changes to VNAV and LNAV systems. VNAV was optimised so there is not as big a speed gain during the descending path. LNAV pathfinding should also be more stable in this version.
There is also a plethora of changes to the external and internal geometry, as well as textures. The PMDG team resolved the issue with airstair missing textures, texture clipping on the NAV 2 panel, strange texture on COMM 2, as well as the light bleeding through the front of the windshield.
How to update
Robert Randazzo also this time published a tutorial on how to update the aeroplane properly. This is because during the development something went wrong with updating the Operations Center application, and it completely broke the updating process. Thus, you need to trigger the process manually.
You can do that by searching your PMDG Operations Center application, opening its location and running OpsCenterUpdater.exe as administrator. This will force-update your Operations Center. You must do this in order to update your 737 lineup.
