Have you ever wondered if you could build a custom airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 all by yourself and share it easily with the community? That is the question that Justice McCracken (McCrackenAir) asked himself in the making of this new idea. He created “Project Airports”, a browser-based scenery creation platform that anyone can use to create and share custom airports for MSFS2024. This project aims to make scenery creation much easier and more seamless than the traditional method of creating one using the MSFS SDK. Even if you have zero knowledge of how to make a scenery, you can now create your dream airport even if it does not exist in real life.
More About the Project
McCrackenAir, the founder of Project Airports, is one of the original creators of the Artificial Intelligence-based ATC service SayIntentions.AI. This project was born out of the complications that creating a scenery brings to everyone and the difficult task of sharing it with the community. Users who want to create scenery have to learn a lot just to start placing the first building.
Project Airport comes to facilitate scenery creation and sharing. It comes with a scenery creator that feels like playing a video game. It makes everything as simple as selecting models from a menu and placing it in the map to create a scenery. You can also share your creations with the community on this same platform and earn in-platform soft currency.

How does it work?
Project Airports scenery creator runs directly within your web browser; you only need an application to synchronise everything in MSFS2024. To create a scenery, the user picks a plot of land anywhere on earth and starts building with over 1300 models included in the creator. Then, once everything is placed, you can upload and share your work to Project Airports and also test other users’ scenery inside the simulator. Even if you update your scenery, it will automatically synchronize with you and everyone.

The project is now available to everyone free of charge. It is still in open beta; we can expect further features to be integrated into this project in the future. You can start right now building your custom scenery for MSFS2024 by heading to the official project page here. Stay tuned for further news of this project here.
