Propair Flight Announces Release Date of Kaunas Airport for MSFS

A few weeks ago, Propair Flight took to their website to announce the release date of their upcoming Kaunas Airport (EYKA) for MSFS. The scenery aims to provide smooth performance, fantastic graphics, and a high level of realism to immerse you truly. The airport is home to a few low-cost carriers (LCCs) such as Ryanair.

Propair Flight Kaunas Airport

Propair Flight’s Kaunas Airport features closable maintenance hangars, realistic 3D buildings, and a highly detailed terminal interior. The developer team mentioned that this was all done to ensure the highest level of realism possible. Additionally, there is a highly detailed surrounding area so that you can explore the beautiful Lithuanian landscapes during your approach.

Furthermore, the scenery provides highly detailed ground markings, custom vegetation, and true-to-life night lighting. Propair Flight mentioned that they have put a lot of effort into making this airport enjoyable in the VR world. They announced in a post that the scenery will be released on the 21st of June.

Real-life Kaunas Airport

Kaunas Airport (ICAO: EYKA, IATA: KUN), also known as Kaunas Airport Branch, is located 14 kilometers northeast of the city center and 100 kilometers west of the capital city, Vilnius. It is the second busiest airport in Lithuania, having transported 1,160,591 passengers in 2019, which is a 14.8% increase compared to 2018. The airport has a single 3,250-meter-long runway equipped with CAT II ILS, allowing aircraft to land in poor visibility conditions.

Ryanair operates two maintenance hangars at Kaunas Airport, one of which began operations in January 2013, specifically for C-type maintenance checks. As of August 2022, the most frequent routes from Kaunas Airport were to London, Copenhagen, Dublin, and Cologne. The airport has been owned by the government since 2014.

Get your copy after the 21st of June at the Propair Flight website, while unfortunately, the price tag remains unknown. FSNews will keep you updated on further scenery releases for MSFS. Have a look at this article for more information on previous Propair Flight releases.
