PWDT Reveals Zlín Z-142 for MSFS

Through the LHSimulations Facebook page, PWDT revealed their new aircraft for the Microsoft Flight Simulator. This time, the famous Czech general aviation aeroplane, the Zlín 142 is going to be brought to life in the simulator world.

About Zlín Z-142

Originally built in former Czechoslovakia, the first prototype was taken to the skies in 1967, when it was still called Zlín 42. The aircraft was developed by Moravan Aviation, a company founded by the famous Tomáš Baťa, an entrepreneur, revolutionising the shoe industry.

Compared to the original Zlín Z-42, Z-142 offers an enlarged airframe, with a more powerful, supercharged engine.

The plane itself is constructed of welded steel tube, covered with sheet metal and fiberglass, with wings being full-metal construction. The plane has non-retractable landing gear, with a steerable nosewheel.

Zlín 142 is also designed for aerobatics, with certification up to +6 and -4 gravitational limit during manoeuvres.

About PWDT’s Rendition

Unfortunately, not much information was shared about this upcoming Zlín Z-142 add-on. However, in the video, we can see the aircraft flying around Debrecen Airport (LHDC) in-game. The developer showed the exterior and a part of the interior of the aircraft.

Moreover, the developer also summarised the startup sequence of the aircraft, and the soundpack can also be heard in the video. Unfortunately, no further information has been shared about the aircraft, with the release being uncertain, too. On the other hand, it has been mentioned that the plane should be released soon.

You can also read more about PWDT’s work, as they also released their Zlín Z-142 for X-Plane 11 almost five years ago.
