QualityWings, a well-known aircraft developer, has today taken to their Facebook Page to officially announce the development of their rendition of Boeing 787 Dreamliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The development was first teased prior to the simulator release, however, nothing has been official back then.
We wanted to take that time before making an announcement of any kind because of the many unknowns weโve been confronted with.

The QualityWings team has been actively testing the pre-release versions of the simulator since early 2020, but only the last few SDK versions made it possible for them to make progress on the aircraft.
All six previews shared can be seen in a gallery below and can be enlarged by clicking on them.
The year 2020 is a totally different one when looking at it from a Flight Simulation perspective. Asobo and Microsoft have delivered a truly remarkable piece of software and weโre thrilled to see the Flight Simulator franchise return.

The developer has mentioned in the post, that the current estimated release date is set to Q2 2021 due to the number of things that need to be completely reworked. For Prepar3D users, the developers are still working on improvements and fixes to the aircraft.
Thanks Gold787FlightSim for reminding us about the event at our Discord server.
