Palma de Mallorca Airport is the biggest airport on the Balearic Islands and 3rd biggest in Spain right behind Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona El Prat airport. In 2017 LEPA transferred over 27 million passengers.
Palma de Mallorca is currently operating two runways in two directions – 06R/24L; 06L/24R. The airport has four terminal buildings – Module A, Module B, Module C, Module D. Module C is with its 33 gates the biggest terminal on the airport, it mainly serves EasyJet, Norweigan Air Shuttle and Condor. Palma de Mallorca is the main hub for Air Europa. The history of the airport is quite interesting, but this is the review of the scenery.
Runway design
To be honest, I had no high expectations with the runway design, but it surprised me. JustSim did a really good job in comparison with other sceneries. I would really like to raise the quality of the rubber design on the runway.
Taxiway design
JustSim did a really good job designing the taxiways on their previous sceneries, and this is one is no exception. As you can see below, the taxiway wear design is really great and adds a nice realistic feeling to the scenery.
Terminal and tarmac design
The design of the terminal and the tarmac is simply great. There is probably nothing I could complain about in terms of terminal and tarmac design. In comparison with the actual airport, it looks mostly the same.
Surroundings
JustSim teased us with some nice looking screenshots of the city of Palma itself. When I’ve done a review on JustSim Barcelona El Prat airport I wrote, that developers have totally forgotten about the city design. This time they’ve done the total opposite and designed the city as well, and did a great job.
Important: With slower PCs you will not see all buildings in the city.
Conclusion
In conclusion, for 23€ you should totally consider purchasing the scenery. Overall the design is great and the frame rate is stable. I have never seen such detailed scenery with that good optimization. If you’re looking for a good looking Mediterranean airport scenery, this one is the one!
