rkApps Releases SimHaptic and Brings MSFS and X-Plane’s Effects to the Real World

Available for MSFS and X-Plane, SimHaptic brings bass-shaker support to Flight Simulators, enabling a deeper and more immersive experience.

Well known for its XPRealistic plugin made for X-Plane 11, rkApps went beyond cameras and sound effects, taking the next step into flight simulator immersion. Introducing SimHaptic, rkApps now enables a physical device, like a bass shaker, to replicate the vibrations an aircraft or helicopter would have during its flight.

SimHaptic is compatible with MSFS and both X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12, but rkApps indicated the plugin will soon be available for DCS players. Among its main features, the plugin promises easy installation, an intuitive user interface, advanced and customizable options for effects, cloud sharing for profiles, and much more.

With an FMOD audio engine based, SimHaptic also comes with sound options for its effects, allowing you to choose from multiple sound options available for each simulated effect. The plugin supports up to six bass shakers, which can replicate more than 26 vibrations effects caused by events like ground roll, touchdown, aerodynamic drag, thrust, and much more. Check out some of the major effects below:

  • Ground roll
  • Ground bumps
  • Touchdown
  • Brakes
  • Reverse thrust
  • Engine vibrations
  • Spoilers drag
  • Flaps drag
  • Gear drag
  • Afterburner
  • Overspeed
  • Stall

For those who might hesitate, rkApps is offering a 7-day free trial for SimHaptic. To start the trial, users will have to download the new program directly from the rkApps store. SimHaptic is also available for purchase on SimMarket for €17.99 and X-Plane.Org for $19.99. To stay tuned for the latest MSFS news, releases, and announcements, check out our coverage.
