Rotate MD-11 for X-Plane 11 Released

After a cinematic trailer of the addon was shared just two days ago, Rotate has today released their most-anticipated project up to date. Their McDonnell Douglas MD-11 rendition has been in development since early 2017, for almost five years.

Heated Quality discussions

Flight sim streamers Q8Pilot and CptCanada have both streamed the addon before release. After their streams, heated discussions around the community commenced appearing as both streamers came across miscellaneous bugs during their flights. This was later clarified to have been caused by an older preview build of the addon.

Rotate also promises to have included accurate flight model and performance of the aircraft. The MD-11 is a tri-jet, hence will not handle the same as current modern two-jet aircraft.

Further, the addon comes with high-resolution PBR textures, accurate modelling, and sounds that make use of FMOD dynamic effects.

When it comes to the systems, Rotate has included an extensive list of all recreated systems and what they are capable of. This includes systems affecting the fuel, hydraulics, or electricity as well as ice and rain protection.
