Boundless is a well-known scenery developer for X-Plane 11 and 12. This team of developers brought multiple European sceneries, both payware and freeware, to the X-Plane community. The team even had plans to make scenery in the United States and multiple other projects. Among their creations, they built sceneries like Paris Beauvais Airport (LFOB), Inverness Airport (EGPE), and many more.

On the 22nd of July 2025, Discord user Lew announced the cancellation of all scenery projects and the closure of Boundless via a message on their Discord server. Lew is the founder of this add-on development company. He founded Boundless in 2020 with the intention of helping cover the costs of his flight training. After a few years and the team growing, they managed much more than anticipated. Lew became an A320 pilot, and he owes that to everything he did at Boundless, according to this message.

The reason for the closure was not formally addressed. However, Lew attributed life-related activities to him and other developers for the slow updates on projects. After thanking everyone who supported Boundless over its 5 years of activity, Lew announced what would happen next.

The Discord server of Boundless will remain open for its community and former team members for general discussion. Their online store, where they sold their payware sceneries, remained open until November and was shut down. It is currently unknown what will happen to their sceneries currently being sold on the iniBuilds Store. This was all that was announced by Lew related to the closure of his company.
