Aerosoft has taken to its Facebook page to announce a new update for the Maps2XPlane Seychelles XP scenery for X-Plane 12, bringing the scenery up to version 1.2. With this update, the developers introduced three new airports to the simulator: Cosmoledo, Providence, and Poivre, along with additional improvements, enhancements, and bug fixes.
About the Seychelles
Scattered to the east of Tanzania, the Seychelles is the smallest of all the African countries, home to 115 islands within its borders. Its international airport, located on the island of Mahé, welcomed over 300,000 passengers in 2024. Mahé serves as the springboard to the other islands within the country.

Changelog
With this update, the most significant change is the addition of three new airports (Cosmoledo, Providence, and Poivre), enabling people to further explore the beautiful country with numerous scenic approaches.
In addition to these, the two main airports of Seychelles, Seychelles International Airport (FSIA) and Praslin Island Airport (FSPP), have received several improvements, additions, and fixes. According to the developers, these will offer users a more immersive and refined experience.

Maps2XPlane also, in this update, introduced new material maps that allow them to take advantage of X-Plane’s weather effects and improvements in lighting and reflections. These new material maps have been implemented in all airports in the scenery, not just the two big ones.
The developers also focused on what people will notice the most in scenery like Seychelles XP – land classification. After updating the scenery to version 1.2, you should notice a more natural and immersive environment, where beaches, forests, and urban areas are better represented and seamlessly integrated. In addition to new bathemetry model and sea textures, this should be a welcomed addition to VFR pilots in the area.

Seychelles XP is up for grabs on the Aerosoft website or Aerosoft One for €32.76. If you already own the scenery and would like to update to the latest version, you can do so through the Aerosoft One client.
