SimPixel has released their latest scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, Naples International Airport. As a key gateway to Southern Italy, SimPixel have brought Naples to life in the simulator with an accurate representation of the real airport.
About Naples International Airport (LIRN)
Naples-Capodichino International Airport serves the Italian region of Campania and is the fourth busiest airport in Italy. It serves as a main base for Ryanair, Wizz Air, easyJet and many more. With a 2,628m singular runway, Naples can accommodate many short-haul airlines along with some longer routes and wide-body aircraft.

The airport has a singular terminal building, Terminal 1 and three airside sections handling both domestic and international flights. Naples opened in 1950, 40 years after it was built, and was originally used as a combat airfield for WW2. Airlines like airBaltic, American Airlines, British Airways, ITA Airways, Finnair and many more all operate out of Naples daily.
SimPixel’s Naples Airport for MSFS 2020/2024
Accurately representing Naples International Airport, SimPixel have used high-resolution PBR textures on every surface. These textures allow for realistic reflections, weathering effects and lighting effects across the scenery. All of its terminals and hangars have been modelled carefully, paying attention to the real layout of the airport.

Helping to accurately represent the airport is a custom ground layout, featuring reworked ground markings, custom taxiway signs and runway textures. Its dynamic night lighting allows for easy and authentic night operations, with lighting on the apron and terminals that match the real airport during night operations.
SimPixel have included static aircraft around the airport, along with ground equipment clutter like service vehicles and baggage carts. The developers have kept performance in mind and optimised the airport to keep the visuals while giving you a well-performing scenery. SimPixel’s Naples Airport (LIRN) is available on the iniBuilds Store for €23.16. For previous SimPixel releases, read here on FSNews.
