SimpleATC, a new tool intended for Air Traffic Control phraseology training, has launched. This tool is intended to help newbie simmers or even student pilots train their ATC phraseology before they start using online networks.
SimpleATC is a web app that teaches you the correct phraseology for every section of an IFR flight. There are scenarios for receiving an IFR clearance, taxi clearance, departure and arrival communications, and much more. It also has microphone and speech recognition support for you to practice speaking the phrases. An AI-enabled grading feature and random scenario generator are also available with a $5 donation.

The developers of SimpleATC plan on expanding the tool to add both IFR and VFR training material and SimBrief integration, which will generate scenarios based on your flight plan. Users are encouraged to report their feedback and suggestions on SimpleATC’s Discord server. If you’d like to try out SimpleATC, you can access it from your browser here.
Feel free to join our Discord server to share your feedback on the article, screenshots from your flights or just chat with the rest of the team and the community. Click here to join the server.
