SimWings and Aerosoft Release Barcelona Airport for MSFS

Following the recent release of MK Studios Barcelona, the SimWings team in cooperation with Aerosoft have also released their rendition of this Catalonian hub for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Via AviationLads, the launch trailer was published today, confirming the scenery’s release for the community.

This is the fourth payware rendition of Barcelona Airport released for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Both Aerosoft and Sim-Wings were working together on this scenery, and it offers a wide range of modern features.

It promises to include all buildings and service facilities at the airport. The surrounding area includes realistic 3D terrain with custom DEM elevation data, including sloped runways. The 3D terrain is then covered by custom aerial imagery of the airport, which is colour-corrected and retouched.

Speaking of the layout of this Barcelona Airport rendition, it should be up-to-date, as the airport was captured this year. The layout is marked with custom taxiway lights and accurate taxiway signage, and for an enhanced parking experience, there is the famous Aerosoft VDGS also available at the gates.

The 3D buildings are promised to be extremely detailed with 3D terminal interiors and a lot of details inside. The terminals are surrounded by custom static apron vehicles and cars, animated jetways and much more.

You can get this scenery via the Aerosoft store or their Aerosoft One app for €24.15. This price includes the local 20% value-added tax. If you would like to learn more about Aerosoft and Sim-Wings’ work, you can read our article about their Munich for Microsoft Flight Simulator here.
