The developer SkyMatrix is currently working on their rendition of Jaipur Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator, about which they informed the community via their Discord, where they also shared a number of exterior and interior previews of this upcoming airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
About Jaipur Airport
Jaipur Airport (VIJP) is located near the city of Jaipur in India and is the 13th busiest airport in the country. Its status as an international airport was granted in 2005. Currently, the airport has two main passenger terminals and a single air cargo terminal. All of that is operated by a single runway that is 3,400 metres long.
Annually, the airport moves 5 and a half million passengers, equalling to approximately 45 thousand aircraft movements. Jaipur Airport is a focus airport for AIX Connect and IndiGo. Speaking of destinations, among many domestic flights there are also international connections to Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, Muscat or Bangkok.
Details Shared by SkyMatrix
SkyMatrix started the short development update by saying that the project has been progressing a bit slower over the past few months. Despite that, this Jaipur Airport scenery is approximately 80% done now. However, the developer has an ambition of adding a full 3D terminal interior to the scenery, and that might push the release back a little bit.
Taking a look at the screenshots, we can see that the developer paid attention to detail in both the interior and the exterior of the scenery, with high-resolution textures and custom interior clutter like benches, signage and 3D people.
The same can be said about the exterior, which also received the same amount of details, there are custom 3D bushes, static cars and the landside seems to have custom ground textures, custom ground service vehicles and dynamic lighting, ensuring the best possible experience for the pilots.
Unfortunately, though, the details mentioned are just assumptions so far, as SkyMatrix didn’t share any official feature list of this upcoming scenery. It is also not yet known when the scenery might be released.
