Supercritical Simulations Group has released some cockpit improvement images shown in various day stages for their Boeing 747-8 rendition on Facebook. The product was released at the end of October 2019.

The images feature the new textures in the cockpit. The flight deck looks refined and seems to have a much more clean look to it. Looking at the closer details metallic parts of the aircraft have better reflective surfaces, altogether making certain areas of the interior stand out.

All the words and numbers on the digital and physical objects such as the PFD and MCP are a lot clearer and aren’t as blurry as they were previously. The aircraft also looks a lot brighter compared to the older version which seemed a lot darker in the simulator.

The overhead panel textures have also been overhauled and have had some really good improvements to the textures on the buttons and switches. The lighting around the switches and on the warning signs seem to be much more clear.

SSG also previewed the aircraft at sunrise. This really shows the colour of the aircraft shine and how effective the lighting is around the flight deck. The aircraft really brights up here and shows just how contrasting the colours are within the cockpit.

The aircraft was also shown at night. This really shows the contrast of the light to the rest of the cockpit within the plane. The lighting really affects the look and overall atmosphere of everything and can show the reflections on the yoke and other reflective surfaces on the aircraft.
