After teasing new project about a week ago on their Facebook Page with a screenshot from which the subject of the project was not obvious, Stairport Sceneries have today officially announced the development of ShadeX for X-Plane 11.
What was initially planned by the developer to be a screenshot tool for the simulator, turned out to be an effect tuning plugin with numerous unique effects, one of which will be the depth of field blur. Other than that, the plugin will in general enhance the look of the simulator with other, yet unknown, effects.
A set of previews comparing how the simulator looks with ShadeX and without it can be seen below.
The price and the release date was not addressed in the post, and so both are yet unknown.
