UPDATED: Stairport Sceneries Previews Wasserkuppe Airfield

 

Scenery and plugin developer Stairport Sceneries today announced in a Facebook post that Wasserkuppe Airfield (EDER) would be at some point joining the plethora of sceneries being released for MSFS and/or XP11 in the coming weeks.

The Facebook post regarding the preview of the scenery shared that whilst ongoing development of their CYQM scenery, artists had already started working on Wasserkuppe and shared three screenshots of their progress.

A release date has not been announced, and it is unclear whether the scenery will be available for X-Plane 11 as well as MSFS.

UPDATED 12.10. 0830z: It has been confirmed to us, that the scenery is currently developed for the Microsoft Flight Simulator platform. Developers are still investigating if an X-Plane 11 version of the scenery is possible.

Wasserkuppe, located just north-east of Frankfurt, Germany is home to frequent general aviation and glider use and is located near the Rhön Mountains. Wasserkuppe only has one rather short runway and is 2900 feet above MSL.
