TaiModels has announced on facebook that its next project will be Kempegowda International Airport (VOBL), serving Bengaluru, India. The scenery is being developed for both Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane 12 and will be distributed through iniBuilds. A short teaser released by the developer presents ongoing modeling work, including terminal structures, suspended vegetation, and statues. The release is scheduled for Monday 6, October, with a complete preview video expected shortly.
Kempegowda International Airport
Kempegowda International is India’s third-busiest airport and the main international gateway to Bengaluru. Located approximately 40 kilometres north of the city centre, the airport features two parallel runways and two passenger terminals. Terminal 2 is particularly known for its eco‑sensitive design, integrating natural materials, suspended gardens, and light‑filled open spaces that draw inspiration from Bengaluru’s identity as India’s “Garden City.” The architecture combines modern steel and glass structures with extensive use of bamboo and local stone, aiming to reflect the region’s climate and vegetation.

As one of the country’s major technology and business hubs, Bengaluru attracts a high volume of international traffic, and the airport has become a key symbol of the city’s growth and modern urban character. These distinctive elements are echoed in the TaiModels teaser, where suspended vegetation and detailed terminal modelling underline the developer’s attention to this unique architectural style.
