Just in time for the FIFA World Cup, the TaiModels Team has released their rendition of Kansas City International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This is the following release after their release of Porto Airport in March, and was announced through the developer’s Facebook page.

TaiModels invites you to have a deeply immersive experience with extremely detailed terminal interiors. Including an exquisite replica of a unique sculpture employing tens of thousands of LED nodes, programmed to evoke water flow, an homage to the “City of Fountains” reputation this place has earned. It even features FIFA World Cup décor!
When you’re done checking out the terminal, get a good look at the handcrafted PBR ground markings and textures on taxi-out and enjoy the custom Digital Elevation Map (DEM) underneath it all. TaiModels has also put in work to bring realistic airport lighting, taxiways and aprons to this airport.
You’ll have lots of choices of flights to simulate in and out of TaiModels KMCI – the real-world airport just saw its second busiest day ever in all its decades of existence on June 17, 2026, according to its official website. Take your pick from the dozens of destinations across the United States and Mexico directly connected to this airport, or simulate one of the many charters going in and out of Kansas City during this FIFA World Cup season.
On their Facebook page, the developer states that the X-Plane 12 version is coming soon, but holds back on providing a specific timeline. However, you can check out TaiModels Kansas City International Airport (KMCI) now for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, available exclusively from IniBuilds for the first 2 weeks after release at approximately 21.17 EUR plus tax before becoming available on other storefronts.
