The developer TaiModels has released a new airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. This time, taking us to Canada, to Quebec Airport (CYQB). The release has been announced via the developer’s Facebook page.

Quebec Airport, also known as Jean Lesage International Airport, is located near Quebec City and is the 12th busiest airport in the country, serving over 1.7 million passengers annually.

The airport was initially opened in 1941 as a training facility and was later renamed to its current name. During that time, the airport became available for the public as an international airport. It is also one of the few airports that have a U.S. border pre-clearance, just like Dublin Airport, for example.

The airport is equipped with two runways, 06/24 and 11/29. It is served by a number of Canadian airlines, such as Air Canada and its subsidiaries Rouge and Express, Air Transat, PAL Airlines and more. Air France also serves seasonal flights to Paris CDG, United Airlines has connections to Newark and Chicago O’Hare from this airport, and WestJet can get passengers from Quebec to Cancún, Cayo Coco or Punta Cana.

TaiModels created a detailed rendition of this airport, with hand-made models, covered in PBR textures, alongside ground markings that are up-to-date compared to the scenery’s real counterpart. The scenery also includes custom jetways, airport lighting and aprons. With all of that, TaiModels still cares about optimisation, and promises the scenery to be functional on most systems.

The scenery can be purchased through the iniBuilds web store for approximately €17.06. This price excludes your local value-added tax.
